Council and community remain split over The Link; Vote delayed until June
The Harrisonburg city council on Tuesday heard a second round of public comments on a proposed mixed-use development downtown, then delayed their rezoning vote on development of The Link apartments. Developers have proposed the complex to be built where the Lindsey Funeral Home on Main Street stands.

These were a few people’s opinions on the Rockingham County School Board’s proposed policies to determine selection and challenge criteria for library books, according to survey responses obtained by The Citizen through a Freedom of Information Act request.

After overflow crowd protests Flock cameras, city council to take up issue at July 28 meeting
A policy about what to do with the Flock cameras in Harrisonburg and license plate reading cameras will be on the city council agenda July 28. This comes after people filled the council chambers at the start of Tuesday’s public hearing portion of the meeting. Fire Chief Matthew Tobia said in addition to those inside city hall, about 150 more people were waiting outside the council chambers to protest the Flock cameras.
